Description
This rain sensor module is ideal for weather monitoring, smart irrigation, and DIY electronics projects. It detects rain or water presence using a high-quality, nickel-plated sensor plate (5.0 × 4.0 cm) that resists oxidation and ensures long life and reliable performance.
The module outputs both analog (AO) and digital (DO) signals, allowing it to be used in simple rain-detection switches or precise weather measurement systems. An onboard LM393 comparator and sensitivity-adjustment potentiometer provide clean, reliable signal output with strong driving capability (>15mA).
Features:
-
Detection Area: 5.0 × 4.0 cm nickel-plated sensor
-
Working Voltage: 3.3V – 5V
-
Output:
– Digital Output (DO): High when dry, Low when wet
– Analog Output (AO): Variable voltage based on water level -
Comparator: LM393 for stable digital switching
-
Adjustable Sensitivity: Via onboard potentiometer
-
Indicator LEDs: Power and digital output status
-
Sensor PCB Size: Approx. 3.2 × 1.4 cm
-
Mounting: Fixed holes for easy installation
-
Strong Signal Drive: >15mA output capability
Usage Example:
-
Connect to 5V. When the sensor is dry, DO = HIGH and indicator is OFF.
-
When water is detected, DO = LOW and indicator lights up.
