Description
This IR Proximity Sensor is a compact and versatile digital infrared sensor ideal for detecting objects, obstacles, or basic color contrast (e.g., black vs. white). It provides a digital output that can be directly interfaced with microcontrollers such as Arduino, Raspberry Pi, PIC, AVR, or 8051.
The sensor outputs logic LOW (0V) when an object is detected within range and logic HIGH (+5V) when there is no object. An onboard indicator LED turns on when an obstacle is detected, making it easy to debug and visualize operation.
To reduce false triggering from ambient light, the IR transmitter and receiver are partially shielded, improving stability in varying lighting conditions.
